Patrick Murphy - BVS Gp Cert SAS MRCVS

Patrick qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1997 from Bristol University and has since had a very successful career in the world of veterinary. Before opening Northwich Vets in 2012, Patrick studied and gained a general practitioner certificate in small animal surgery, which has given him extensive knowledge and confidence in unusual surgical cases. Patrick was previously a partner of another reputable veterinary clinic before deciding to take the plunge to set up his practice.

Patrick enjoys the variety of general practice, with each day being different and varied. He likes the challenge of planning a patient's treatment and needs, communicating, and influencing a plan with the owners. He takes great joy in being able to see the difference that his interventions make to a patient's health and wellbeing, whilst always being there to support the client through the process.
Nowadays, as the Northwich Vets team expands, Patrick doesn't do as much surgery as in previous years but he still holds a keen interest in complex surgical cases and orthopaedics and gets into theatre when he can!

Although time is going by, Patrick still likes to think he's young and be down with the kids, much to the embarrassment of his two teenage children! He enjoys his role as a dad and is very proud to watch them progress through college and university. Patrick has recently taken on new and exciting challenges, taking part in triathlons, and completing a charity marathon with great success. He is also a Christian, having a key role at his local church.
